Another delay has come to The Division, what it was supposed to be a launch of a Test Server for 1.4 update for PC player has now been delayed, a Live Stream from Twitch has apparently been delayed as well on which they were going to announce the new 1.4 updates they are working on. This was decided due to not having all they wanted to show for us, and I’m ok with that because that shows they are really working on improving the game-play for everyone that plays the game. You can read the notes and blog here.
The new update 1.4 will be really good for all players, PVE and PVP, this will include the following:
- Fixing bugs, including those listed in our Known Issues as well as many other ones
- Making loot drops more relevant to the player
- Enemy difficulty and time to kill
- Gear Sets and weapons balancing
- Solo player experience
- Dark Zone and PvP balancing
- Quality of life additions based on community suggestions (such as weapon skins no longer taking inventory space)
Adding new features and improving the solo player experience to me is awesome, not all the players like to play online, or there are also times when you like to take a break from online PVP and will like to do some PVE doing missions like Incursions or playing again previous missions in tougher modes to test your gear or simply to just get new gear. Enemy difficulty is one of the improvements that I am looking for, since last update it has become harder to kill NPC, now with higher score weapons is easier but still somewhat difficult to kill them.
Making loo relevant to players, this one is another improvement I like, I have seen myself level 30, 242 gear score, killing NPC and getting really low score gears, and at times getting plain level 30 with no gear score and worse of all I have found myself finding purple gear even at the high level I am. It ca be frustrating at times, I can’t rely on purchasing items, I like to have the satisfaction after killing a boss NPC and seeing the green or yellow light with something good. What do you think about this new update? Is it worth the wait, is it ok to delay it or would you like the update out as it is?
