I usually talk about video games, TV shows, anime and mangas, but today I decided to add this subject to my blog, mainly because this can be made into a handheld console, a PC or even a TV, I’m talking about a well-known product, the Raspberry Pi. This has been released in several models, and more recently the new and improved Raspberry Pi 3. This small motherboard, I like to call it that way, because it really is a small motherboard with inboard connections for other cool stuff, has made a huge jump from the original. The new model Raspberry 3 will now have 64-bit ARM Cortex-A53 Quad-Core Processor running at 1.2GHz, previous model was running at 900MHz, this new model will have Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity already on-board, this is great news for those that can use the extra USB ports for something else rather than WiFi and Bluetooth adapters.
This Raspberry will be a great addition to the current models, it has been said this will be a truly full working pc due to the increase of processing speed and other upgrades, all for just £30, which is about $41 USD, not a bad price. Now if we talk about what can this have to do with video games? Well there have been many people using this board to re-create Gameboy, SNES, NES, and other video game emulators running from this board and adding displays, keys and much other cool stuff. There are many DIY instructions online, check it out, google it and get yourself a Raspberry Pi board, it will be worth it.
