Hearthstone has been a really good game since it launched, and I don’t know why but I have not reviewed it. On last week’s Blizzcon 2015, Blizzard announced the release of the newest expansion to this card game which is called The League of Explorers adding 45 new cards to the already 889 cards, it seems every expansion they add few cards, I was thinking each expansion would add about 100 cards like on other card games like Magic The Gathering.
For those who have not played the game, this is a card game similar to Magic The Gathering, the cards reflect characters from the Warcraft world. You can play cards with characters to attack or defend, use magic, set traps or spells. One of the difference on card games, is that on this game you get to pick a hero which has a special power, among the heroes are, Druid, Shaman, Rouge and others, I’m sure those who have played WoW are familiar with the characters, overall the objective is to beat the enemy using cards wisely and not wasting mana.
The new expansion is available as of today November 12th across all platforms PC and mobile devices (due to an issue that allowed players to purchase the expansion prior to launch, the expansion is currently not available for some time). You can get all wings for $20 USD or each wing for 700 gold or $7 USD, and like the previous expansions, each wing will be released weekly starting November 12, for the exception of Thanksgiving week, making a total of 5 wings. Each wing like previous ones will have the option to play in different difficulties, but on this new expansion there is a new addition of “extra-though heroic mode”, I’m sure this will test our card skills.
