Until Dawn! (horror game)

Until Dawn

Until Dawn

A new survival-horror game is coming out next month, to be precise on August 25th, this game is called Until Dawn, a decision making horror game that will scare the night out of you. The game is about few friends that decide to meet up at a cabin on the anniversary of the death of some friends of theirs, but what they don’t know is that this trip can be their last one.

The game is made only for PS4, and is based on the Umbra Engine, if you are not familiar with this engine let me mention some games created under it: The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, CoD: Ghost, Batman: Arkham Knight, Mass Effect 2 and 3, if you are familiar with these games you can see the graphics will be really good.

In the game you will be able to control the fate of the characters, try to keep them alive but decision making similar to the Telltale games. Base on the article I read from Verge, this is a single-player game, the plot is similar to a Scary Movie (yes the actual movie) in which each character has their own personality such as the blonde girl, the dorky guy and the jock. The point of the game is to help the characters survive, escaping from serial killers, I’m guessing the name Until Dawn means they need to survive until the next morning?

In the game is also stated that the game will able to be re-playable many times because each time you play the game will have a different out come, because you may not make the same decision twice. Also is noted that the game will have a “butterfly effect” meaning that a small change in the beginning will have a huge impact for any survivor in the future, this will allow you to have a different experience every time you play it. One thing they do tell you, is that the game has a lot of gore, so I think is not for everyone since some people may not find a gory game appealing. So is this a game you will like to play? Check out the videos and let me know what you think, the bottom one is a bit longer so enjoy!
